Guinand today presented a new watch as part of their Series 40, a panda dial chronograph. This is a very good update of the original panda dial (see comparison picture).
Mr Klueh, owner of Guinand explained, “Black-White with the model Duograph-Chrono RPanda stands for the classic racing-driver look of the 1960s with the stop counters have the opposite color to the dial. 2 stop counters together with the central stop second enable stop time measurements up to 12 hours. We designed this watch without the permanently running small second – in favor of the size of the two stop counters. The red stop second hand stands out clearly and thus offers an optimal overview for short-term measurements.”
“Protected pushers and a screwed crown with double O-ring seal enable reliable pressure resistance of 20 bar. Both the front and back feature scratch-proof sapphire crystal. The housing has been improved by means of having now a crown flank protection.”
